Cultas Lake, Whistler Mountain, and the Okanagen Valley are all wonderful spots to call home for a few days, existing several miles from Vancouver and within close range of some of the finest ski resorts you’ll ever lay eyes on. Lots of restaurants and a few shops will be close enough to warrant a visit, but remember that you’ll have everything you need within your temporary quarters to fix a meal or stay occupied come nightfall. You ventured out here to enjoy the surroundings, and don’t be surprised if you never stray too far from your wrap around porch.
It’s that perfect combination that gives a few special places the rights to the label “year-round destination”; snow in the winter, delicious summers, and constant wild beauty that would make any day worth seeing. You might not have expected it from Canada, but now that you’ve taken a look it seems a shame not to venture north sometime in your life.
